Senate bill could ban truckers from using I-70 left lane in Colorado mountains

Senate Bill 100 could soon prohibit commercial vehicles, including semi-trucks, from driving in the left lane on Interstate 70 between Morrison and Glenwood Springs.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Senate Bill 100 could soon prohibit commercial vehicles, including semi-trucks, from driving in the left lane on Interstate 70 between Morrison and Glenwood Springs.

Sen. Dylan Roberts, a Frisco Democrat told the Colorado Sun why he supports the bill, “A lot of the wrecks we’ve seen over the last few winters have been a direct result of semis speeding in the left lane trying to pass other cars,” said Roberts. “That’s a completely avoidable accident.”
