 at helps over-the-road semi-truck drivers and their families when an illne
 ss or injury\, occurring within the last year\, has caused them to be out 
 of work. The SCF also provides free health and wellness programs that bene
 fit professional drivers and the trucking industry.\nThe Missions\nTo help
  over-the-road semi-truck drivers and their families when an illness or in
 jury has recently caused them to be out of work. Assistance may be in the 
 form of direct payment to providers for household living expenses such as\
 , rent/mortgage\, utilities\, vehicle payments\, and insurance. The SCF pr
 ovides all applicants with additional resources\, as well as information o
 n how to negotiate price reductions with medical providers and hospitals. 
 We normally do NOT pay medical bills.\n\nTo provide free health and wellne
 ss programs for drivers in hopes of preventing some common medical illness
 es seen in this population. These programs include diabetes prevention\, t
 obacco and nicotine cessation\, chronic disease management\, at-home cance
 r screenings\, and free flu\, Covid\, shingles\, and pneumonia vaccines.
