ProMiles Software has an immediate opening for an experienced and talented Web Programmer. This is a full time position. Candidate should be fluent in server side programming with ASP.NET in C# or VB.NET using Visual Studio, have knowledge of Web architecture and design principles, know how to create and consume Web Services, and work with Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript,
DOM, AJAX, and CSS on the presentation layer is also desired. This individual will develop cutting edge Web-based software for the trucking industry and law enforcement. Candidate must be a self-starter with strong initiative. ProMiles is a fast paced, fun company looking for people with enthusiasm, energy, and a strong work ethic.
Candidate must have experience in Web programming, CS background preferred. Knowledge of VB6, C++, and graphics software a plus. Some projects will require a security background check. Telecommuting is an option, though candidate must provide his/her own computer and Internet connection to telecommute.

ProMiles is looking for organized and meticulous individuals who would like to be part of a team of GIS Data
Specialists working on truck routing. No prior GIS data experience needed.
These individuals will be part of a team that is creating the largest and most comprehensive truck routing
databases in the world. These individuals will be researching government regulations and other sources looking
for regulations and other factors that affect travel on the roads of North America by trucks. They will
perform this by doing web searches, sending Freedom of Information request letters, and by talking to officials.
After identifying and verifying such regulations, these individuals will determine what classes or types of vehicle
the regulations apply to and will record this information. Next, this person will identify and mark those road
segments that these regulations apply to using ProMiles’s GIS software. In addition to this work, these
individuals will perform quality checks to insure that the regulations were correctly interpreted and recorded, and
they will use ProMiles’s routing software to determine that the truck routes produced using this database are safe,
accurate, and reasonable.
This position is ideal for those people who are organized, meticulous, and enjoy working with large and
complicated puzzles. This position is also ideal for those people who like geography and enjoy learning facts
about obscure places in North America.
The applicants should be competent in using Windows programs including Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, Word,
Outlook and Excel. ProMiles will provide all training on ProMiles specific programs.
